On Sunday, March 19, 2017 Gerald Patrick Marquez Sr. peacefully passed away surrounded by his family in Modesto. He was 64.
Anyone who knew Gerald would know he enjoyed riding his bike and recycling. He was not one to stay in one place, as his favorite pass time was his travels with his wife. He was always planning their next adventure. If there was a glow on his face or a twinkle in his eye it was because his granddaughter was right by his side. One of his greatest accomplishments was being her Father figure. He could conquer the world with one hand as long as his wife was holding the other. Gerald will always be remembered for his candid conversations, sharing his knowledge, wisdom, dreams and stories.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Alicia Marquez and his children; Gerald Patrick Marquez Jr., Justina Marquez, Cecilia Marquez, Deidri Marquez, Richard Marquez, Deserie Mireles and Michelle Villanueva. He is also survived by his 4 brothers and 1 sister and his 15 grandchildren.
Visitation services will be held on Monday, March 27, 2017 from 5-9 PM at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel. A service will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2017 at 10 AM at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Gerald Buzzard Marquez gofundme account.
