John Patrick Rybicki passed away at home, surrounded by his family after a short courageous battle with cancer, on Sept. 29th at the age of 77. John was born in South Bend, Indiana and has lived in the Watsonville/Freedom area for 51 years. He worked in Shipping and receiving for the "Pajama Factory" for 13 years and for Green Giant for 25 years. He loved to paint and was an avid SF 49er fan. He was a member of the Pajaro Valley Art Association.

John is survived by his wife of 42 years Isabel Rybicki - Freedom; his children Wilhemina Rybicki(Chucke Walkden) – Boulder Creek, Isabell Rybicki-Goulart(Kristoffer) – Aptos, John Patrick Rybicki II – Marina, Sheryn Swanson(Jim) – Texas, Cheryl Burks(Mike) – Kentucky; brothers Chester(Bunny) and Richard(Teresa) Rybicki - Indiana; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Friends and family can visit from 5-9 PM on Wed., Oct 5th at Davis Memorial Chapel. A vigil/rosary will be recited at Davis at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thur., Oct 6 at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick's Church. Burial will follow with military honors at Valley Public Cemetery.
